Happy New Year- The end of the year and beginning of 2015 has been full of preparing my new private students for recitals, brainstorming for small chamber projects and making new musical friends in Florida! In two weeks on Valentines Day I will give a recital with pianist Bob Logan at New Horizons at Choate in Woburn, Massachusetts. February 24-27 I will be singing with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra for seven concerts in their educational concert series!  Some exciting small chamber projects are in the works as well.. including a performance at the famous Bold Bean Coffee Roasters and recital at the Jacksonville Public Library! More info soon!

I've returned back to the states after the choir tour of Latvia, Estonia, and Finland and some personal travel in Spain. It was such a pleasure to sing with the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest Sanctuary Choir and Quartet in the Tornakalna church in Riga, Parnu Town Hall in Estonia and Temppeliaukio church (Church in the Rock) in Helsinki, Finland! We were able to attend the astounding Estonian National Song Festival outside of Tallinn, a once in a lifetime experience!

This past Sunday I was fortunate enough to sing Mozart's Laudate Dominum from Vesperae solennes de confessore, K. 339 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Jacksonville, FL with their gracious Chancel Choir and accompanied by organist (composer & conductor) Donald McCullough!

Best wishes for the rest of the summer!!

What a lovely experience performing Berlioz's Romeo and Juliette in Chicago's Auditorium Theatre this weekend! On to Janáček rehearsals! The Grant Park Chorus Apprentice Chorale had their first concert in Douglas Park this past Thursday with the Chicago Children's Chorus Humboldt Park Neighborhood Choir. They were so lively (what hams!!). Such fun.

Fifteen days until Estonia, Latvia and Finland! The First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest will perform their Tour Choir Concert this Thursday, June 19th at 7pm! The program is called "To Everything There is a Season," and includes two quartet pieces performed by myself, Julia Rigoni, A.J. Keller and Matthew Peterson! Info and news article here!

Grant Park Apprentice Chorale will be broadcast on WFMT! : The Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts program on June 25th at 12pm CST live from Chicago Cultural Center Preston Bradley Hall ! Listen live at: http://blogs.wfmt.com/hess/. We are performing works by Gandolfi, Whitacre, Parry, Tavener and Misinkis with the Project Inclusion String Quartet!

The Grant Park Chorus Apprentice Chorale is the 18 piece chamber choir directed by Christopher Bell; info here: http://www.grantparkmusicfestival.com/festival-connect/apprentice-chorale

I am also adding a few photos from my recital in March to the Gallery page! Enjoy!

May 2014 Update

Welcome! This is my first blog post and I'm excited for the summer!

Starting in June, I will perform with Grant Park Festival Chorus Apprentice Chorale.  We will be singing several outreach recitals (music by Whitacre, Parry, Mozart and Miškinis) in the Chicago area under the direction of Christopher Bell.  We will also perform larger works by Berlioz and Janáček with the Grant Park Chorus at Milennium Park!
Stay tuned for information about a June recital in Chicago!
